I am so tired of the Poang Chair!

Cowhide is never hot. Sorry.

Oh God, here we go again. Save the whales!

Come to think of it, whale hide would actually look great! And waterproof!

The actual design is a big "eh". The cowhide issue is beside the point. A chair can be upholstered in any fabric one chooses. Even whale skin.

I think it would look a million times better if the wood frame was stained a different shade. That light colour is just not working for me.

The chair is clunky and it looks as if the cowhide would be hot and itchy.

yeah, I'm pro fur and anti faux-fur (because it's way worse in my opinion to mass produce petrol based, plastic non biodecradable cheap looking versions of things that exist in nature), though I try to always buy recycled fur.

But the poang chair is one of my most hated objects on earth, and no amount of cowhide or even silver fox fur can make it look better.

Count me in on the pro-hide, anti-Poang movement.

I like cowhide but it looks like too much of an afterthought here.

Not anti-Poang - but that's the scariest thing I've seen on AT in a long time. (And yeah, it looks itchy.)

Whoever thought up that chair will be haunted by the spirits of angry cows, outraged that their hides were wasted on a chair that I always mistake for something cheap circa 1972.

It reminds me of those truly awful jackets and bags and anything else that could be imagined made out of patchwork leather in the late 70s.

Please make it go away?

"Cowhide", "patchwork" and "Poang" are three words which should never appear together in a product description.

There are others, like "McDonalds" "Breakfast" "Burrito".

This would look better if it was anything else, using different material and a different physical design.

Not ! I just have a tendency to shirk away and cringe at cowhide in general!
