I'm a visual person that has fought with an earring storage solution for years - incorporating storage into an every day tool is great! But then, my bedroom is full of sunlight in the morning so I wouldn't be dealing with the light hot earring situation.

Those particular earrings look cute, but I agree with robinette. If you have lots of different styles and sizes it won't look good. Then you have to decide whether to have a weird mish-mash or store your earrings in two different places to keep the lamp looking good.

a person *could* use other things in those holes, like cute thumtacks or fishing lures, or something, and make it work.

Even sans anything it looks neat with the perforations.

I voted hot. It's unique, and if someone has a coordinating collection of earrings it could be nice in a dressing area.

But if I used it, I would go the DIY route instead of paying for a hole-y lampshade. :)
