2-23-housetourlogo.jpgWe'd asked Alex at Hygge House for a House Tour, but unfortunately her home was damaged in the winter storm that hit Carmel. Here are some photos of her lovely home, pre-storm...

Wonderful home, I hope she builds it back and better. I recognized the coffee table in front of the fireplace, I saw it at an Anthropologie store in LA, I loved it and would have liked to buy it, but it was very pricey.

I own the sweater hanging in the entry way. Strange. Loves it though-lots of anthropologie.

A lovely home. I hope that the next incarnation is even better.

Does anyone know where to find the wine rack featured in pic 19?

What is with the black and white pics? When I look at house tour I want to see the house, not "artsy" pics. It was annoying.

The house is beautiful though. Loved the soft colors.

That black cat looks like my cat (Big Crazy) Macchiato, who also has a little white on her belly. She even sits with her paws elegantly in front of her like that.

Thanks everyone for the comments! I'm so glad that something good came out of the home and the storm. I do plan to start another flat soon.

The wine rack was actually purchased at Anthropologie; they sold them for about $20 just over 2 years ago. You can actually find the odd one in some stores. There is no name brand on the actually shelf itself.

And there is a lot of Anthropologie, I know! But it's because I do adore their aesthetic and unique furniture (which is often hand crafted like the ottoman - and I got it for 40% less through a seasonal sale). The trick with that store is to buying floor models and BFF'ing sales people who will let you know when something you've been eyeing goes on sale!
