How To: Make a Tire Trug

CRAFT recently featured this how-to from Instructables for a handy, durable garden basket made from an old tire. The project results in a sturdy carrier whose contrasting, asymmetrical handle makes it cheery and, dare we say, hip.

By the way, we're intrigued by this word, trug. Wiktionary defines it as "a shallow, oval basket used for gardening." This basket certainly supports that description, but we're also quite fond of our Tub Trugs, which are capacious enough for much broader use.

Check out the step-by-step instructions here.
