If you sew, this is an easy and versatile project to try, and reminds us a bit of our favorite (but expensive) Hable Construction storage bushels. To keep the basket more simple (and do away with the kitsch) we'd use regular scraps of wood instead of the yard sticks. You could even do this on a larger scale for a laundry basket or toy bin - there are tons of possibilities.
