Gilded Halloween Decor

Ever since we saw Martha Stewart's glittered pumpkins a few years back, we've adored all Halloween decor that glimmers and shines. Some gilded inspiration for a more pretty than spooky Halloween...

Despite the elegant shapes of many gourds, isn't their real beauty in that phenomenal orange color that can only be had one month out of the year? Why waste it? In my opinion, it is never ok to gild the lily.

Wow this is fabulous! I was just thinking today that although my white pumpkins are adorable, they don't really pop...

My mom's been doing this for years. She leaves the pumpkins white for Sept-Oct and then paints a few of them metallic gold the 1st of Nov and leaves them on the porch through Dec.

You could dip just about anything in a vat of metallics and I would love it.

Everybody loves a little sparkle...

If you'd like to find out who created the pumpkins in the main pic it's a very creative journalist/blogger from Phoenix, Jaimee Rose. Her site: http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/JaimeeRose/
