Icons of Design in San Francisco
Inspiration at Millennium Tower

Rising high above the SOMA streets on the 52nd floor, the Icons of Design designer showcase transformed the interiors of four of the luxurious Grand Residences in Millennium Tower. Twenty-five of the Bay Area's most prestigious designers were each given a room in one of the units with the task of creating a space that could hold its own against the breathtaking views.

While we were lucky enough to get a private tour of the showcase, it is open to the public on weekends with proceeds benefiting local charities.

Public tours began on October 24 and will continue for five consecutive weekends through November 22. Tours run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday with the last tour beginning at 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday with the last tour beginning at 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in the Grand Residences Lobby at Millennium Tower (301 Mission Street at Fremont Street) with proceeds benefitting a different Bay Area charity each weekend. Complimentary valet parking is provided. For more information, check out the Icons of Design website.

The schedule and respective beneficiary of each future weekend is as follows:
• November 6 - 7 – Berkeley Repertory Theater
• November 13 - 14 – Museum of Performance and Design San Francisco
• November 21 - 22 – American Heart Association, Greater Bay Area Chapter

The featured designers will exhibit their own interpretations of urban living and design. The list of featured designers includes: Alexandra Owen Interior Design, Ann Brown Interiors, Ann Getty & Associates, Applegate Tran Interiors, Art Haus, Black Mountain Construction/Development, Butler Armsden Architects, Chantal Lamberto Interior Design, Closets Van Go, De Sousa Hughes, Eden Wright Design, Henderson Design Group, Hendler Design, Hepworth & Howard, Jeff Ryan Interiors, Jurow Design Associates, Kensington & Associates, Martha Angus Inc., Martin-Richards, Michael Merrill Design Studios, Inc., Nancy Van Natta Associates, Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design, Reba Jones, Scheiber Design Group, Shelby De Quesada Interior Design, Studio Becker, Sutro Architects, The Charles de Lisle Workshop and Wiseman & Gale.

Be sure to check back next Monday when we feature more photographs from our tour.

The wallpaper is by a French company called ELITIS (http://www.elitis.fr/), but I was unable to locate the exact pattern.

Thank you Jess! It is from their wall art non-woven fusion line. Gorgeous.
