IKEA's New Products: What Do You Want Us to Check Out in Person?

8-8-ikea.jpgWe went through the new IKEA catalog last night and dogeared some pages. We're heading over to our nearby store in a couple of hours and we wondered: Is there anything you'd like us to take a look at before you decide whether it's worth it to make the probably-longer-trek yourself?

Any of these 10 Best New Items? Or these beech kitchen cabinets? Tell us!

(We're crossing our fingers that they finally have the darned Beloved Homes book in stock!)

Can you check out the Stockholm Bookcases? Do they appear sturdy and is it fairly simple to add sections?

The Melbu bed. What is grey-brown really? What colors does it coordinate with? Oh and the Gustav desk, please

Hopefully the store (Emeryville?) is better stocked than indicated on the website. A cursory check revealed that most of the "New" items are not in stock yet... :(

Have fun!

Went to the East Palo Alto store yesterday; I'll write up my findings as soon as I can.

Keep the suggestions coming, though -- I can always go back.

(Emeryville's in the process of remodeling, by the way.)

Does the utby come in a regular table height, or just the counter and bar heights?

Can you check out these 2 for me?

Lersberg metal shelf unit (p. 20, the bigger one) - how sturdy it is and if it can really hold books without tipping over. It would go well with my tiny studio.

Klingsbo side table (p.70)

Or if anyone on here owns these already, your comments too! Thanks.
