Indoor/Outdoor Bathroom at the Essex House
by Andrew Maynard Architects

The Essex House designed by Andrew Maynard is characterized by its moving exterior walls. This concept gets particularly interesting when it comes to the bathroom, where an entire wall opens up to allow indoor/outdoor bathing in the freestanding tub...

It looks like there is pretty lush landscaping around the house, providing the much-needed privacy to this little bathing oasis. How often do you think you'd actually open the wall if this were your home?

I would always leave it open except in the winter. Even then--- it would be fun to bath in the outside when it was raining.
