The main reason these fly swatters caught our attention was the presentation: what a hilarious idea it would be to display swatters in a jar at a party, for guests to use as the flies, mosquitos and noseeums come out.

$34 here, and they're on backorder. Go figure.
Are those old bakelite handles?

Won't these get kinda gross once people start smashing bugs with them?

Looks so DIY. Remnants of window screen, hemmed, biased, embroidered on a wire hanger. Handles, you'd come up with somethin'. Also something Martha Stewart would insist on making herself instead of using what they sell at the 5 and dime. I don't think it would be hilarious to put these on display at a party, but it would probably be appreciated if there's going to be a flying insect problem. Oh yeah, it does kind of remind me of fly day. These would be appropriate but overthought for fly day.

Cute project for the kiddies! My mom used to pay me a nickel a fly to swat them in our house when I was a little kid. Being industrious, after I killed the few inside I went outside to continue the masacre to up the cash pot!

when i was in elementary our class made pink fly swatters with a lace trim and glued a fake little flower to it for mothers day. kinda gross but my cat is usually our fly swatter now. any insect in our house never lives another day.
