We love the use of glass star lanterns in these three spaces. They add an eclectic flair, feeling like something brought back from a distant Moroccan adventure...

Star lanterns are available in a few different materials (glass, punched tin, capiz), sizes, and price ranges: new imports (like this one from Uncommon Goods) are sold rather inexpensively and large antique versions go for more (like this 1910 find from Remains Lighting).

Gee, I think the big story in this picture is about the amazing Moroccan zellige tiles... (I recognize the picture from the Emery et Cie website)
They just had some amazing pictures of them on remodelista:

RE: Picture #2
Yes, please! I'll take it. I want the whole thing. The ceiling, the shape of the room, the paint color, the sunlight, and that tub! You could definitely get a proper soak in that tub!
The star lantern is perfect in that room.

I'm always worried that kind of thing will fall on my head during an earthquake, though they are beautiful. I went with a paper star lantern instead! I love these!!! The bathroom and the kitchen is so beautiful!! I missed out on an antique light like this in a shop near my house. I was so sad. Still on the hunt!

That kitchen is gorgeous, but I don't want to be the one to change the lightbulb...

They're called Moravian stars.

I saw one at http://chandelirium.blogspot.com/ that I think would look better in the third space. That giant hanging star is too spiky for rme--bad feng shui, no? Stars belong on walls, I feel, not pointed at my head. I alos think it's way too big.

I have one of these in my entry. Changing the bulb is easy - one of the points is hinged.
However, what I've never figured out how to clean it properly. It has little bits of stuff collecting in the points that I just can't clean out properly.

Yes, called Moravian stars... I bought mine here: http://www.mermaidhut.com/Cat-17-1-68/Moravian_Stars.htm Very easy to change the bulb; one of the panels is hinged to open.
And wow, those tiles are beautiful.

The tiles in that first picture are stunning! But I'd be worried about that Lantern of Damocles hanging right over my head...

That kitchen tile really is phenomenal... I would love to see more pictures from that location!!
Here are 10 & 18" Moravian stars in clear, opaque or antique mirror glass.

The first image is from Emery & Cie. I should know, I just tiled my entire bathroom in their delicious wares.
(Thanks mschatelaine for the link - nice to see more perspectives of that place!)
