15 1/2 Peckham House

This is one amazing house. Monty Ravenscroft paid £40,000 for a small rubbish-strewn plot of land in southeast London. He then spent £210,000 to come up with a jaw-dropping home that includes such touches as a retracting roof and an unusual bath...

Hey, how strange to see our house so positively covered on the site. Hope it is interesting enough, but 1 wee inaccuracy; the land was 40k and the build was 170k; thus the total was 210k pounds sterling.

So it is possible for many to do it, though they will have to get buried in it up to, and beyond, the neck level. Not great, but did enable us to keep the cost pretty low given all the peculiar factors.

hi monty

saw this build on grand designs and enjoyed it tremendously. i think kevin was really enthusiastic about your project. your engineering skills were great as well. it was so much more than an average housebuild because there was so much innovation and you did most of the innovations yourself.
