Back in about 1984, my mom covered one of the dining room walls with mirror tiles. They were each 12x12" and covered in a splattered gold pattern. Even then, I appreciated how much all of that mirror opened up the room. But those gold splatters just had to go...
Cut to 25 years later: I love this update on the mirror tile idea. These mirrors are still small enough individually to be handled by one mom in an afternoon, and their overall impact is strong, just like that old dining room wall. But they're framed, lending a bit of an architectural feeling to the detail.
This is a great solution for apartment dwellers wanting to open up their small spaces with the power of mirrors. Oversized mirrors aren't always practical because of their weight, expense, and difficulty in getting from the store to home for those without personal transportation. But modular designs give you all the impact at a lower cost that's easier for a single person to install.
Much better than the gold flecks from 1984.
