A black and white palette can be great for adding drama to a small room, but can end up cold when done throughout an entire house. Add a pop of natural green, though, and things instantly feel more comfortable and inviting...
The unsung hero in these rooms would be the rich wood accents, which really help to warm up all of the spaces and, of course, naturally compliment the plants.
- This amazing home from interior designer Jessica Helgerson has been featured extensively online, but we had to add it here because it uses black, white and bursts of natural green throughout the house to such an amazing effect.
- We first mentioned this trio in our post about adding color with plants. The room featured looks absolutely refreshing with the inclusion of so many potted beauties. Via LivingEtc.

Add gray and you have my favorite color palette.

Lovely! I'm happy to see a black and white home that is neither boring, nor cold, nor diner-esque. Hopefully this will help me convince my boyfriend that we can have this color palette too.

I love black and white rooms - I've had that second photo in my inspiration file for while now. Sometimes I see a brightly colored wall or piece of furniture and love it, but I always come back to black and white. These photos are proof that when done right it can be warm and lovely and timeless.

I'm with you, Bromeliad- add gray and you have my house! (Maybe a bit of lavender as well, come to think of it)

Jaimec - It's not exactly the same, but Pottery Barn has something similar:

My favorites here work best (IMHO) because the palette is black beige/grey/white, not stark black white. Seems much more inviting!
I believe the original source for number 6 was a spread in Elle Decor a couple/few months ago. The home belonged to someone at Pottery Barn (or one of those big stores).

I'm not sure, but the Decor Pad image might be from Elle Decor a while back-- they profiled the home of a wealthy women (I forget her name, but I think she was of Middle Eastern background) and her young family (I think in London???) and she had those snake prints like the one in the corner as a gift from the artist. It might be someone else with the same art, but the style looks similar too.
