Chicken Point Cabin by Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen

Designed by Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects (whose name you may recall from these Rolling Huts), Chicken Point Cabin is described as "a little box with a big window that opens to the surrounding landscape." Um yeah, sign us up for a little box like this one in Northern Idaho.

That window wall? It's 30x20. Those materials? Low-maintenance -- concrete block, steel, concrete floors and plywood, all left unfinished to naturally age and acquire a lovely patina.

Beautiful! The cinderblock isn't very attractive but the space is wonderful.

I absolutely love this house! I've been seeing photos of it for at least a year, in all sorts of places. Fabulous.

Nice house, but how do these people keep bugs out of their home when the wall is opened?

Beautiful house. I guess you could call it little if you consider an airplane hangar medium sized.
