We posted about colored chalkboard paint from Hudson Paint previously on Apartment Therapy, but we wanted to share some ideas on how it could be used. We came across a few great examples on Raina Kattelson's blog. Painting the tea tray and storage containers are definitely our favorite.
Your chalkboard canvas is much brighter now, as there are some nice colors to chose from. Many have gone down the path of painting a wall or a fridge, but we also like that even small objects can be transformed with the help of chalkboard paint. Simple tea containers not only look much better, but also keep things organized with their new label treatment.

This is a wall project rather than a small object but my husband had the best idea ever. I wanted to do chair rails in our foyer, which is an odd space to begin with, and we toyed with the idea of using magnetic paint behind it to put photos on. He thought we should do chalkboard paint and have chair rails that would hold the chalk, so our entire foyer would be a big chalkboard.
Right now we are in the picking colors and experimentation phase but once it's complete it will be a masterpiece.
