DIY: Abbey's Faux Bois Trashcan

3-12-abbey.jpg

We tend to suffer from ideas-bigger-than-our-follow-through syndrome when it comes to finishing our craft projects. That's why we love this simple, easy and brilliant trash can transformation. Totally do-able, even for us and our lazy wannabe-crafty-hands.

Abbey grabbed a sheet of Martha Stewart's wrappping paper from Michael's, a glue gun and an old trashcan she had sitting around the house. Such little effort for such a big difference!

Haha so simple, but I love it. I have that exact same milky plastic trash bin sitting forlornly in my laundry room. I might try this with faux wood contact paper.

Neat idea! I did something similiar with a spray frosting paint to turn a stainless steel garbage can that cost $20 into one that looked just like the $80 frosted stainless steel cans you can buy at the store.
