Early Autumn Inspiration From Plümo

So, I swear I'm not trying to jinx the good weather, but... is it too soon to start getting excited about the fall?? Truth be told, as fun as summer can be, autumn is my favorite time of year, and I always love getting the house ready for the cooler months, bringing out blankets and cleaning the fireplace and so on. As shocked as I was to discover that it's already September, I was just as pleased to find some lovely autumn inspiration for the home from London-based Plümo...

Gorgeous wool blankets, a rustic wood tray for cocoa in bed, a rich brown leather moon-shaped pouf, a giant upholstered pear-shaped doorstop... all of these lovely objects have me just itching for the cooler weather and falling leaves.

How about you? Are you ready for fall to come around or not quite done with summer yet?

Plümo is based in the UK, but of course they'll ship internationally. Visit their website to get a look at all of the new items they've got in store for fall. And even if you don't want to shell out for transatlantic shipping, the photos are great inspiration for any decorating plans you might have for the upcoming season.

Getting ready for autumn ... for us, it means that the 60 plus continuous days of 100 degree heat are finally over, and we can luxuriate in days that reach into the mid 90s as if we were stepping into a meat locker.

Getting ready for autumn means caring how Colt McCoy is going to shape up this year. In other words, gridiron madness ... in the heat that lasts until Thanksgiving.

I once wore cashmere in Austin, and it was hot and itchy. In February.

Getting ready for autumn here means debating whether 2/3 length t-shirt sleeves are really a viable option, or whether one should simply stick with cap sleeves year round.
