Escapes: Tommie Wilhelmsen's Kolonihagen Summerhouse

One thing we always admire about Scandinavian homes is the way that they maximize light. We love the use of white and windows in this Norwegian retreat. The built-ins also really maximize space -- homeowners of small spaces could learn a trick or two from their use in places like this one and the C3 Cabin we blogged yesterday.

And we seriously covet the sleeping loft. It's cozy yet light -- and practical in that it also serves as the roof to a porch below it.

Scrumptious! The light is amazing, and the feeling is clean and expansive.
