apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Home of Jeanette Lunde of Fryd + Design

Jeannette is a graphic designer and blogger. We immediately fell in lover with her home. It feels so open and inviting. The natural light looks gorgeous. We also adore her style. This is another great example of white walls really working. Check out our previous post from a few months ago for more inspiration. The splashes of color come from the furniture, art, and decorations. More pictures after the jump...

It is an old house that used be part of a large farm. Jeanette and her husband have been renovating it over the past five years. Her collection of art and variety of objects add a lot of personality. Many of the pieces in her home she received from her grandparents. We adore the more unusual color and pattern combinations as well. Fun flower patterns on the yellow and bright green pillows and aqua blanket decorate a sleeping/lounge area in a children's room. A variety of fragrant hyacinths beautifully dress the dining table for a dinner party. We also love the wire chandelier over the table. It is so simple and glamourous at the same time.

You can tell that she's a graphic designer; there seems to be one thing that 'pops' in each room. The light over the kitchen table is pretty funny.

I love the subtle use of color. It is very feminine and whimsical!
