apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Magnus Persson Photography

We came across photography by Magnus Persson when we featured Jimmy Schönning's apartment a couple months ago. He takes beautiful pictures of food, interiors, fashion, travel, and portraits. We especially enjoy the "Interior" section on his website. The photos of Jimmy's apartment are very inspiring.

Magnus fell in love with photography when he was just 12 years old. As an assistant to Irving Penn, he learned the craft and developed his personal style. He works for various magazines and advertising agencies in Sweden and abroad. We especially love the color and light in his pictures. Using depth of field, he can beautifully highlight a simple object and draw our attention to a specific area of the photographed space. Check out more of his work on the website.

Oooh, I love that yellow chair... goes nicely with your powdercoating post!

And the purple room is amazing, even though I only really like maybe the chairs and the basket in the corner. But dreamy light, period details, saturated walls and glossy white floors = perfection as far as I'm concerned.
