We can never get enough of great bedrooms; settling in with a book and waking up (okay, on a weekend after sleeping in) feeling refreshed in the morning are our favorite moments of the day. These four bedrooms had us daydreaming.

With bedrooms, sometimes the more traditional is surprisingly the more cozy. The dark fabric walls contribute to the cave-like atmosphere.

Bright white, on the other hand, can feel unburdened, like a clean slate.

Orange pillows, cement walls and a Nelson pendant lamp make this stylish loft bedroom. And below, the salvaged wood headboard and fisheye mirror give this bedroom a slightly nautical feeling.

where does one find a fish eye mirror like in the final room?

2009 Hot trend: Brocade!! Or wait, is that the right word? That's the word describing a method of weaving, but if it's that type of design on a wallpaper, should I say ogival framing?

West Elm has a mirror like that right now.

With regard to the third photo down (modern bedroom with orange pillows), I wish Ikea would bring back that particular bed in queen and king size. They still sell it in twin, though.

I love the opulence of the first room, and the clean lined elegance of the last two rooms - but the all-white room leaves me cold.

The first bedroom has too many patterns going on. The comforter is particularly hideous.
