Inspiration: Bar Carts Outdoors

Bar carts come in many shapes and sizes, and are the perfect way to easily bring a little bit of the indoors out! We love the idea of pulling our record player outside for a little old school music while we sit in the yard, or having a little lemonade setup that we could roll out when we have guests. The idea of leaving these things out all of the time conjures images of dingy glasses and records left out to battle the elements, but a small cart on wheels makes these entertainment vignettes that are easy to move from the inside to the outdoors.

1 Living Etc. has the great idea of making a record player outdoor friendly by landing it on a bar cart.

2 Another charming portable garden accessory is a small lemonade cart, also at Living Etc.

3 This B&B Italia cart, like the one featured in Living Etc., is available at Style Park.

4 Fermob USA is the source for the lemonade cart, and is available in many bold colors.

5 Style Park also offers this collapsible Kartell Gastone, which we think would look lovely in the garden.

6 This Ikea kitchen cart, the Udden, could be a great multipurpose cart for outdoors.

7 Another great Ikea option is the Stockholm cart--we can picture this with a snack and drink when guests visit.

8 One more from Style Park, the Kartell Flip is a great utilitarian and stylish cart.

My Mom would never do without a bar-cart. To her it was a staple piece of furniture for entertaining. These outdoor models are adorable. I like the idea of the collapsible one, for easy storage during the winter.

I am renting a house that is on the same lot with 3 other houses and shares a communal yard. I have been wanting to buy outdoor furniture but was hesitant to leave anything out since stuff left outside tends to disapear.

We usually just drag our kitchen chairs outside and eat under the apricot tree, plates in our lap.

This bar-cart idea is inspirational indeed. I can store it inside as an extra surface/storage and drag it outdoors as a table for outside eating.

Thank you jessica!

I like bar carts but I'd never bring my precious LP's outside, let alone the "good" turntable for the sun is not good for either and I know from experience w/ a Monkees LP many, many years ago.

Love the classic Alvo Alto cart and of course the classic enameled metal and chrome units from either the 50's or 60's that could be bought at any hardware or housewares store for not too much would do just as nice, especially with a fresh coat of paint and the chrome cleaned up.
