Inspiration: Birch Tree With Orange Bird

10-20-08 birch.jpgPart art installation, part decor, we're impressed with this birch tree, designed for a little girl's room. And it's not just nice to look at, it's interactive as well. See how below the jump!

Created by Jen at Cup of Coco, the piece is "meant to be quiet and compliment the room's existing color story." But our favorite feature is the little orange bird that can be taken out and played with at any time.

We can just imagine a child whispering secrets to the birdie from their bed. But, honestly, we think an adult could get just as many hours of enjoyment out of this nature-inspired addition.

This white felt would turn gray and be hard to clean.

I like the concept, but I don't like the execution. I'm not sure how it's interactive.

the bird peeking out of the tree is wonderful--it's obvious a lot of work and thought went into making this.
