Inspiration: Framed Pegboard in White and Robin's Egg

2-24-09-pegboard.jpg

We have long admired the use of pegboard in the kitchen for pots and pans (and more familiar still with its use in garages and basement workshops), but the economy and usefulness of this organizing solution never seems to get old.

The framing and fresh color palate also go a long way towards distinguishing this organizing solution from its more rough-and-tumble brethren.

The frame of that pegboard would look really pretty painted that same shade of blue...

Right, because the way it is now the only way to ensure the "palette" is to never run out of that notepaper or let the tape go astray...

I don't usually go gaga over organization stuff but that is soooo pretty!

I really like the paper-holders built for a pegboard. Nifty idea.

I know it's weird, but perfectly organized sights like that make me so happy!

The frame is a great idea. In my new apartment, I've been thinking of doing a pegboard for my desk, and the framing convinces me!

I love pegboard! But, alas...it isn't available in my part of the world.

I tend to find overly coordinated work spaces just quite awfully precious, especially when done in some Easter Egg color. Organized "just so," although probably a good idea, also makes it look like nothing gets done because the person is never through congratulating themselves on how sweet it looks.

That said, I do like nice things and a neat workspace, just never been convinced of the idea that cuter accessories makes the work more fun (a common idea promoted on this blog). Where are the folks who ick out on matchy-matchy when this stuff comes up?
