Moolah, cash, duckets - it's all the same, and it seems to be on the collective minds of the whole world right now. So let's paint the walls, bureaus, etc in memory of the green that seems to be slipping out of everyone's pockets. And while we're at it, do it up in gold, too. We're taking our latest color inspiration from the inside of Scrooge McDuck's vault.

I think i will dig this bold and beautiful green but i'll be careful not to use it too much.
I love your inspirational pic..where did you get this from?

As a side note, I wish the media would find something OTHER than the economy to totally fixate on and scare us to death about in every friggin' newscast.
Isn't it time for a good toy recall, just in time for Christmas?? C'mon, SOMETHING!

I like gold with softer greens, although it risks being very 70's.

I love the photo above...
...tho it would be even better with pink & white fretwork wallpaper.

I love this shade. It's almost the exact shade I've painted my dresser and nightstand.

That's my mother's dining room - in the 70's. The green over the brown and the ornate gold framed mirror.
Ugh - why must we do that again?

If you're not really here, then I don't wanna be either. I wanna be next to you. Green and Gold. Green and Gold. Green and Gold.
Colours I have always loved, the Aussie Olympic colours!

I'm so inspired by this pic I'm gonna hit my mom up for her 1972 buffet table in exactly that shade of green. How exciting...thanks for the idea!

This is actually my entry way. Ana featured it over on her blog, Rearranged Design. The buffet was my grandmother's, and when she passed away, I received both it and a china cabinet. My aunt got ahold of it back in the 60s or 70s and painted it that avocado green. I've always meant to repaint it, but it's really grown on me.
You can see more at my blog at http://rachelshingleton.wordpress.com or at my Flickr stream, http://www.flickr.com/photos/rachelshingleton
Thanks again to Ana for the writeup.
