apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Hotel du Petit Moulin

We're a bit bored by the the idea that the French have a secret panache for fashion that is intrinsically more sophisticated than the rest of the world. Yes, we loved Amelie and all of her colorful quirkiness but we haven't really experienced that "stop-everything-the-french-rock-our-world" moment...until now.

Mais, oh la la! With a perfectly preserved facade from 1900 and interiors designed by fashion legend Christian Lacroix, the Hotel du Petit Moulin hits that high-note for us.

We love the unabashed use of color and casual mish-mash of random art and vintage furniture. There's a light-hearted je ne sais quois feeling to the rooms that we're aching to reproduce in our own petite maison...
