Inspiration: Norwegian Stylists Kråkvik & D’Orazio

Sometimes looking at stylists' web sites can be depressing—everything arranged so perfectly that it feels inaccessible, like a cake so pretty you don't really want to eat it. But the vignettes pictured in the portfolio of Norwegian stylists Kråkvik & D’Orazio are both lovely and a little rumpled, just enough to convince you that you, too, could actually make a room look that good...

The interiors and "party-scapes" on Kråkvik & D’Orazio's site feature some of our favorite relaxed decorating ideas: mixing and matching dining room chairs; dressing a simple bed, without extra pillows and throws; gathering a few vases in different shapes as a centerpiece; mixing textures, like rough reclaimed wood with sleek powder-coated metal. Best of all, in their photos, there are pillows that aren't perfectly plumped and tables that aren't formally set. It feels like inspiration for an actual life.

Enjoy more of their online portfolio here.

Forget the furniture and decor... I want those star-shaped cookies in the last pic!!! Yum.

I love the way they pair the plastic/metal chairs with the beaten up old tables!
