apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Powder Room by Jay Jeffers

10-2-08powderroom.jpgHere at Apartment Therapy (SF!), we absolutely adore Bay Area favorite Jay Jeffers of the Jeffers Design Group. His interior designs are innovative, unique, and really, very gorgeous. With that said, check out the beautiful powder room he created. Isn't it lovely?

wow! most of the bathroom is a bit ornate for me to want it in my own home but I absolutely LOVE the mural!

I really like the walls, but I think the rest of the bathroom gives a dated feel.

Aaah, the mural's pallette reminds me of Mucha - corals and cremes and oxidized copper. Can't get enough of it!

The basin sink reminds me of a ceiling light fixture from my childhood. :)

With those walls I would have gone with a simpler mirror, lamps and sink, as they are competing for attention. That kind of mirror would pop much more against a one toned wall.
But the walls are stunning.

I think this is really cool, and I think that the graphic wall offsets the more detailed mirror, lamps etc, and ends up working. I enjoy this contrast.
