apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Ray Design Studio Portfolio

10-15-08 ray design portolio 1.jpgIf only we got up North more often, we'd have more excuses to stop by Ray Design Studio. The interior decor shop and design firm run by Ty Jones offers plenty to inspire, but the Santa Rosa location isn't exactly MUNI-able. So instead, we've been checking out their portfolio of recent projects...

10-15-08 ray design portfolio 2.jpgThere's a lot of nice stuff here. We love the warm, cozy-yet-modern feel of the living room at top, and the graphic rug juxtaposed with earthy, natural tones above. 10-15-08 ray design portfolio 3.jpgAnd we'd never think to add shutters to a city apartment! It's a really unique touch that surprisingly doesn't come off as quaint. If a trip up to Santa Rosa means more clever design like this, we might just have to get out our driving maps soon.
