Surfing around for a little inspiration earlier today, we found this great slatted screen on PointClickHome. It separates the entry from the living room, yet is still light and airy.

Although this one was made by Seattle's E. Cobb Architects, it looks like it could be a DIY project.

Never mind the screen, I don't understand that chair. Is this a very eclectic place or what? It's making my head spin.

Strange. I was just fascinated by the contrast of the ornate blue chair amidst the very modern.
I love the idea of entry.

Crate and Barrel has long had the Ricci screen, which looks very similar, for $799.

I kind of like this screen. I'm trying to come up with a divider solution for the sleeping area of my loft. This would work except for some reason I'm stuck on it being curved. I wonder how hard it is to DIY this.

I love that Rococco chair - especially upholstered in that light blue vinyl as it is!

I've got a chair like that - except it's upholstered in red. I'd love to sell it--I'll try and post it in the AT classifieds this week.

This is a great idea and one I am considering for creating an entry as my front door opens directly into my living room.

Um, yes.
Pet peeve: When people see one corner of a room and freak out because they "don't get it."
