Love. This would be perfect for my kitchen--with minimal wall space. I have to stick with the perfectly usable wainscoting for now.

We have two walls fully tiled in our kitchen: the main wall where the fridge and cooker are aligned and the wall where the sink is situated. The sink wall is broken up by a large window allowing the tiles to blend in well. Using all subway tiles, we created a "backsplash" with black tiles and the remainder of the walls are done in a white tiles. Total cost was £150 and we love it!

If I could afford an incredible tile like that...? I'd have a whole wall of it.

Oh my. How lovely! This kitchen is a little more traditional than my usual style, but I absolutely love it. Every element is perfect - the tile, the hood, the cabinets, the hardware, the layout, the light. A cook's dream!

i am helping my boyfriend renovation his kitchen and we are putting the wall tile above, below and to the sides of the windows... i think it will look great and we're excited about having the tile really be the super star!

I sure like one this better than the tiled kitchen wall in the 2010 HGTV Dream House...

...but if I had my druthers - I'd do my entire kitchen in Heath tiles from Sausalito.

I have been wanting to do this in my kitchen since day one, but YIKES, unless one has a teensy kitchen or chooses a very inexpensive tile, it would be crazy expensive. I'm still trying to come up with something interesting that is a happy medium, pricewise and that I won't get sick of. So far I've failed, wall remains bare.
Sigh.
I would like to win the tile lottery.

This is so beautiful. Usually I am pattern-phobic and stick with solid blocks of color, but I could really live with this.

All the walls in my small kitchen are covered in white, glossy, sort of rustic square tiles. The architect (and previous owner) who redid the space used rounded pieces (I guess they would be called "bullnose") around the windows and one exterior corner, so it looks really finished. The only drawback is that I can't mount anything on what little open space there is (say, over the range) because I would not want to drill into the beautiful tile.

I did a whole wall in tile for $6 sf and it isn't subway...it's a faux bamboo. It's behind the stove and can handle any amount of unforseen splatter.

The pattern of the tiles is pretty upclose, but from afar the wall looks dingy which is not the look I want in my kitchen. But a wall of tile can work done right. I see lots that are too dark.

Those are nice. My rental has huge like 3x3 inch tiles for the wall AND the countertops, with like half inch of grout between and no sealant. It's a real pain to clean. So clearly I'm a little biased against tile, but that small tile looks classy!

Any idea where to source tiles like these? I have a full wall that I need to do a backsplash for and am considering a patterned tile.
