all of these rooms make me very happy, but when I try to do it, the room looks like decorating tornado...I'm still trying.

puttinbuttin, I experience the same thing. Thanks for sharing these rooms though, they are absolutely gorgeous. I especially love that ribbon-striped comforter, and it's upholstered headboard.

Can somebody tell me where to find that ribbon-striped comforter? I LOVE it, and would like to know how to get it.

Agreed. These rooms really appeal to me. 1, 2, 3 & 6 especially. Beautiful!
I couldn't execute this kind of look skillfully though.

this is why i fell in love with living etc. when i was in london last summer. i am so tired of the safe esthetic of using a basic colour with one or two accent colours: blecch! i subscribe to the philosophy that if you bring together things that you love, they will work. and i do love colour. lots and lots of it.

Any resources for the neon glossy furniture?

Is there a life-sized horse statue in the 7th picture? I will forgo a bed, couch, and my keyboard for one of those. The coffee tables in picture 5 are beautiful. Also, I love a good white box with pops of color everywhere. If I could but paint…

Too Flea-Market/Hodge-podge to me...
...I prefer a more restrained pallete - even #5 is better since it's really just green, orange and purple w/ neutrals.

Thank you! I am so tired of seeing tv designers only using two or three colors in a room (especially Divine Design). These homes look like they came together over time and actually reflect someones personal style. I love 4&8.

Hooray for color, and for those who aren't afraid to use it!

@bepsf: Yeesh, girl... Do you have to comment every time you don't like something? It's such a bummer to read.
On a happier note. These cute photos remind me of the blog Color Me Katie. And I love the last room... very sweet and down to earth. I am surprised not to see Kim's house in this compilation though... I can never get enough of her home! :)

I Love those couches in #2, and the whole bedroom deal in #3... much prefer these cheerful spaces to the boring neutrals seen 99.5% of the time.

1. What's with all the spam lately?
2. These colorful environments work when they're employed as accompaniments to a dominant background. White is the underlying anchor for most of these interiors, in addition to the green shown in one photo. Multiple color accents work well when there's a unifying theme or background.

Color makes me happy. These rooms are great. In my own place I aim for something I call "crayon explosion." The more colors, the better.

I found the comforter from the Living Etc forum - it's the Lulu Guinness Elsa Stripe comforter. Just thought I'd comment on that in case anyone else wants to know.
