Interiors by Ken Fulk

Over on Gawker today, I stumbled upon a post called Inside the Nerd Mansions of San Francisco. It discusses a C Magazine article showcasing the homes of internet moguls decorated by interior designer Ken Fulk.

I wasn't too impressed with the design in the few photos presented there, so I decided to do some investigation on this Mr. Fulk. Yes, he is occasionally prone to the absurd, but he's done some elegant rooms worth examining.

I've chosen my favorites from his website. What do you think of his style?

I really like the chairs in the 4th pic. Does anyone know where a reasonably priced version can be found?

I'm obsessed with the tree wall paper from Cole and Sons.

Heatherdazy: Similar versions of that chair are available all over jayson home and garden's website. Unfortunately, they are not very reasonable.

So... how are these nerdy? I thought I was going to see something that actually expressed geek culture in a thoughtful and well-designed way. Not so much. But they are very pretty, and to me, very traditional.

1.) love, love, LOVE the ski-lodgey lvng rm w/ birch wallpaper! it's modern and also cozy. 5.) the living room with the large, hinged, 3 panels in the corner struck me as modern, and interesting, and 7.) i think that bedroom is downright sexy, what with that honeycomb hanging there, and all the animal fur, and the exposed wood.
