2-17-09 lotta desk.jpg The cubby space of the table in the joint office-cum-dining room is perfect for hiding work essentials when the room is being used for entertaining, and the CD tower between two doorways makes great use of a tight niche. We also love the simple but warm paint palette used throughout the apartment. Lovely!

I didn't know she lived in SF. I love her project & pattern book "Simple Sewing" - I made several projects when I started sewing again last year. Her place looks comfy and well-lived in.

dmh - She hasn't lived in SF for a few years now. Blueprint ran a piece on her Brooklyn home in the Sept 2007 (?) issue.

So fun to see this story resurrected! This piece ran in a special 2005 newsstand-only issue of Sunset called "Living 101". Lotta indeed now lives in Brooklyn.
