There are only a handful of photos of this remodeled 1926 Seattle bungalow on the architect's website, but several things immediately caught our attention...

The open, airy living and dining room. The raised ceiling, skylights, and French doors. The art.

And these shelves placed above the doors. O.K., so large, heavy pieces like the ones displayed here probably don't make much sense in earthquake country, but we're still intrigued by the great use of space.

That house isn't far from me! Just a few blocks. How nice to get a glimpse inside after seeing the outside transformation - although I do question the massive stone art fragments on the high shelf - in the Nisqually 7.0 quake a few years ago, most of us lost our chimneys in the neighborhood. I can't imagine those pieces staying put.
