Paint Ideas from Lilly Pulitzer

052609 lilly paint.jpgWhile we can't say that Lilly Pulitzer's clothes are usually our cup of tea, we do think these fitting rooms in one of the brand's newly opened boutiques are pretty cool. The Pantone/Pulitzer room above reminds us a bit of this paint chip sample room, and could be done with any variety of colors if you aren't feeling the bright pastels. See another paint idea after the jump...

052609 lilly paint 2.jpgFree-hand text covering the pink walls of this fitting room also makes for quite an impression. True, it is really girly, but we think it is kind of fun, too. Just make sure to enlist someone with good penmanship and a steady hand! You can see more images of the boutique online at The Selvedge Yard.

This might work in a retail setting, but I can't imagine this in someone's home!

I love the striped ceiling and palm wall powder room! That is the essence of LP.

Lily doesn't like Lilly?

Something isn't right with that...
...IMO - Lilly is Fabulous!

(I must have nearly a dozen Lilly neckties, 2 or 3 swimtrunks and 4 of her blazers - Perfect for vacations, parties and weekends around town.)

While I am not the Lilly customer, I do think her prints are fabulous and look great on a lot of people.

I think these ideas would look great inside a pantry or closet - not to hide it, but to give a real pop of color and design in places that are ususally ignored.

I second what jgphotomom said above, about this being good in a closet or pantry. I would go a bit further and say this could be interesting in any small space, like an entryway or small bathroom - but in a normal room it might be overwhelming.

Would it be too cheesy to do the writing thing in an entryway with a phrase like "Welcome to my home" in many languages?

Love it! Love it! Love it! Being that I love color, I love to write and do my own style of calligraphy - what a wonderful thing to do! Gee, now I only need the courage!

The second photo makes me a little anxious for some reason... all those words on that bright background. I love the first photo, though.

They look like they had so much fun working together! More like a labor of love... I can imagine this being a fun Craft Room idea. Or maybe if your afraid to paint a wall with such bold colors or patterns you could paint a large canvas like that! Lilly's so inspirational!

Not like Lilly Pulitzer? How is that even biologically possible?
