apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Inspiration: Interior Photography by Yannick Labrousse
Marie Claire Maison

Marie Claire Maison is one of our favorite resources for great ideas. We have always admired their gorgeous photography and inspiring examples of interior design. Since we have been taking photos more often than we used to, we are learning how hard it can be to convey just how amazing a space is within a still photograph. Yannick Labrousse, one of Marie Claire Maison freelance photographers, can beautifully portray in his work what we see in person. His pictures seem to glow and tell a story.

We have posted about how to take pictures of your home previously on Apartment Therapy. "Don't be afraid of cropping" was one of the tips mentioned in the post. A good picture can become stunning after cropping. Sometimes too much detail can take away from a few things that we want to highlight. Yannick seems to know exactly how much to show. He often uses a door to a room or an arch in a garden as a frame and a way to lead the viewer into the photographed space. We love the work that he has done for Marie Claire Maison capturing beautiful interiors.

AT -- it's bad enough that you make us reload the page each time. Making us scroll up and down to see it because you've planted another picture above it is even worse. Please. Just give us the pictures going down the page.
