Secret Resource: Burnt Sugar in Fremont. Burnt Sugar is mostly a handbag/shoe/makeup/jewelry/paper goods boutique, but along a high top shelf they have a fantastic collection of vintage lamps, for sale only if you ask nice.

Biggest DIY Inspiration: My house. It was built in 1917 and bought by its current owner in 1952, who has since then made this group of houses his lifelong project. He did every detail himself, from the shelving to the stained glass to the bamboo curtain rods made from plants on the land. He provided me with the perfect palate; nothing clashes with the clean-lined style, and my vision never exceeds the house's possibilities.
