All day (and into the night) we're rolling out our judges choices. Now we're up to Danielle Henderson, editor out at ATSF, but actually up in Seattle. All her top pics are below the jump. The judges compiled choices and the winners will be posted at day's end....
Name/Title: Danielle Henderson, Apartment Therapy San Francisco Co-Editor
Location: Seattle, Washington
Best creative hack (ie, furniture transformation):
Shauna's DIY Mirrored Dresser
Danielle: "While 'mirrored' is not my favorite look in the world, I have to give it to Shauna that she stretched the possibilities for this dresser, and completely transformed it. It barely even resembles what she started out with, and I love how she just went for something that could have been intimidating to others -- I know it would have been to me!"
Best decorative painting (ie. on a wall or other flat surface):

WVSmith's Gender Neutral Shared Nursery
Danielle: "What a labor of love! I have to give points to how hard this project was, and how seamlessly it was pulled off. The colors and design are rich and pretty without being dark and overwhelming."
Best Use of Fabric (ie. upholstery):

The NOT Kid Friendly Coffee Table Project
Danielle: "Not only is the finished product far more pleasing than the original, but I have to give credit for the motivation behind it. I can't think of a better reason for an upholstery project than to make furniture friendly for all members of the household. And it's beautifully executed!"
Best Use of Paint or Finish:
Sagesse's Black Chair Reno
Danielle: "I can't say enough about this chair. It is impossibly chic -- there's nothing DIY-looking about it, and everything says high-design, from the black on black to the stitching. The paint color doesn't come off as one choice among many; but as a seamless part of a singluar vision. That's why I give it top marks in this category."
Biggest Wow Factor:

The Kitchen Shuffle
Rebecca: "I have no words for this. Totally impressive."
Most Likely to Be Widely Copied:

Kate3’s Shoe Cabinet Landing Strip
Danielle: "I find shoe storage to be pretty ugly most of the time (including this very cabinet, before the hack!), so I really empathize with making it pretty. And the crystal knobs against the grasscloth wallpaper is fresh and beautiful. It would be a joy to put my shoes away in this."
