Caged Blown Glass Lantern at Urban Outfitters

10-5-blue lamp.jpg

When we saw the Caged Blown Glass Lantern on Urban Outfitters' website it took us a moment to place it. Then it hit us - it looks like a cheap reproduction of Victoria's dining room light, a one of a kind piece she bartered with previous tenants for. (See it in her House Tour here.)

We've always admired Victoria's version and secretly hoped to stumble across something similar at a flea market. And while the price ($68) for the Urban version is definitely budget-friendly, it leaves us with a question: are these style twins a mere coincidence or a case of big box store art directors trolling blogs for inspiration?

Dunno. Blown glass lamps are easy to find. Moroccan import stores always have them. I can't wait for the NYC Christmas markets. The vendors have tons. Of course they have actual stores, but I love seeing them all in one location.

These remind me of the Pottery Barn versions I've got on my wish list now...

Hey, Boomer, I wondered what happened to you, when you disappeared for a month or so. Glad you're back.
