Ceramic Dual Bulb Base from PBteen

8-25-pblamp.jpgWe're on the lookout for new bedside lamps, and right now these ceramic pieces are on our short list. We love that the pierced base allows light to shine through, perfect for those times in the middle of the night when you need a little light to find something but don't want to wake up all the way.

We think we'd use a solid shade with these, but the ribbon trimmed shade would definitely work in the right space.

$79 each (shades are an additional $35) at PBteen

$79 each plus shade? seems sorta pricey to me for a lamp that looks like it belongs in a nursery. Pottery Barn is begining to peeve me. I went in the other day to buy some pillows. Not only do they make you pay $29 bucks for the fabric cover, but they also charge you seperate for the insert. UNBELIEVABLE

PB has always charged extra for pillow inserts - nothing new.

Separate pillows forms and covers also make it easier to change your accessories and store the out-of-season covers in a drawer without taking up as much space as a whole pillow.

yah, all those stores of that nature, including restoration hardware do their pillows like that. i personally prefer that, so after i switch seasons, i only have to find room to store the small covers.

Pottery Barn pillow covers are a huge disappointment. I have three of the Jacquard print covers that are pilled and thread-bare after just one year! Anyone know of a good place to buy throw pillow slipcovers that stand the test of time? Thanks!
