Chandelier Bulb by Kyouei Design

We're really enjoying all the fun ways designers are revamping the bare bulb. This latest by Japanese team Kyouei Design made its debut at ICFF, and functions via a simple glass ring resting on the bulb from which hang strings of crystals. Insta-glam.

This would be a simple way to make a small closet feel like a fancy boudoir (provided the bulb is far enough away from clothes as not to be a fire danger — but that should always be a consideration, chandelier or no).

$55 here.

I love it, but $55????

Anthro had something like this in their displays years and years ago.

And I agree; it would look pretty crappy with a CFL.

I liked the picture lit up in the dark room, it's soft and twinkly. Looks kind of yucky when it's not in use. Yeah, that's a lot of money for a circle, not as much as $69, but still. It would be a lot of money to spend, unless you have a walk-in-sit-in-dress-in closet that is a room you spend time in, and feature on the tour of your house. Aesthetically speaking, what does spending money decorating the insides of your closet do for you, in proportion to the rest of your home?

If you have the bare bulb situation we had on Good Questions a month or so ago, it's kind of wimpy. Looks like a DIY if you like it.
