11-20-eboniste.jpg

As if candles weren't comfy enough. Thanks to Eboniste, now they look like sweaters.

These 4" beeswax pillars come in sets of two, with two color choices (in addition to the ochre color shown, ivory is also available).

$54 per pair.

I tried 6 times to contact Eboniste about an order I had to place with them. Nobody ever bothered to get back to me. So if you have to ask a question before you order my advice it to find the piece someplace else. That's what I did and I'll never bother with Eboniste again.

I second the above poster's complaint regarding eboniste. I placed an order 8 weeks ago and have no idea if my order is going to be delivered. Very unprofessional - be forewarned!

ditto - don't order from them! we placed an order a month ago and no word, no response to emails, and their phone is not in service.

anyone know what's going on??

I am in the same situation. I placed an order in August (paid in full) and have not received my merchandise. I did receive some sporadic emails and voice mails from a Jay Ward but when he told me they would issue a refund and it never materialized, I stopped receiving responses. Their phone still is in service but they have taken it off their web site. The number is 800-706-2914. The manufacturer of the merchandise I purchased was advised by Eboniste to direct all inquiries to Scott Frankum at scott@eboniste.com; however, I have been doing that for weeks and getting no response. I believe Scott is the founder/owner so the good news is that he is still communicating with someone, if not his customers and so perhaps there is a chance that things will work out in the end.

I placed my order in early October for two tables which I was told would ship in 10-20 days. That time frame passed, and so I assumed it would be 4-6 weeks as stated on the website. It has now been 9 weeks and I've sent a dozen emails and tried calling and received no response whatsoever.
Luckily, I haven't been billed yet though Eboniste did get preapproved for the charge on my card when I placed the order. I spoke to an cc rep and she said that if they have been preapproved for the charge, then the cc company cannot block the charge. I'm hoping they don't charge me because at this point I'm certain the tables are never going to arrive.

Mary Beth- have you contacted your credit card company to dispute the charge? I would do that ASAP if you haven't already. I hope you're able to get your refund one way or another.

LGN,
Thanks for your suggestion. I was able to get my cc company to credit the charge. I don't know why I didn't think of this but thanks very much for suggesting this!

Mary Beth,
You're welcome!
Eboniste got preapproval to charge my card back in October - but luckily they have not charged me yet. I can't have my cc block the charge b/c of the preapproval so I'm hoping that Eboniste never charges me!
Glad it worked out for you!

Eboniste seems to finally have gotten it back together. After months of no response I finally heard back and reassured that everything is back to normal. They were reorganizing. Gave me a huge headache but seem to be on the level.

Actually, I don't think that things have been sorted out and I caution anyone who is thinking of purchasing from Eboniste. I finally heard back from Scott Frankum, the CEO, before the holidays and he assured me that the item I had ordered 2 months ago was in stock and he would ship it out asap. Since then, I've heard nothing and Scott has not responded to any more emails.

VERY frustrating.

Same frustration here. I ordered a table and paid in full via the website in October.I got an email from Scott Frankum explaining the reorganization. This was before xmas. Since then I cannot reach them via telephone and no reply to my emails. Furthermore, I called 411 for an updated number and was told that there is no company called Eboniste in the entire state of Arizona. (The website lists Glendale as the home base.) I think someone is having fun on St. Barths….
