We're going to file this under "on the fence" for the time being, because, though we love the shape, we don't really get why it's made of porcelain. To us, lamps have always made more sense when the light can make it through the shade, but perhaps we're missing the point here.

We're also not quite sure why it's $950. But we like the color, and think if it was done in some type of see-through acrylic it would be really cool. Also available in black and white in smaller sizes and lower prices. What do you think? We'd love for someone to school us on the importance of this lamp.
