I have a friend who did this YEARS ago in his living room. The canoe was found on the property of a client.

Check out Living Rooms and scan to his loft.

Your friend did a great job, anne. BTW, did he buy the rug to go with the dog, or vice versa?

Balance, his dog, came after the rug.

loving the dining table there...not as convinced by the canoe. But to each his own. I have a friend who managed to string up 6 milk bottles and make them look spectacular...

Many, many years ago- a popular Soho bar call-
"merc bar", had a "Lodge-meets-Loft" style decor, exposed brick walls, timbers, large scale B & W photos of the West- and a Canoe Light fixture hanging above the barStools- I believe "wrapped" in Parchment....a great idea then
as it is today.......
