Sure, we're up for a theme restaurant from time to time. Say if we're in Vegas for instance, or if we want a drink with an umbrella in it. But for the most part, we prefer subtle ambiance and the food taking center stage. That said, we do appreciate subtle references, like the hanging lights we saw at this sushi bar in the Mission...
There's no "underwater theme" at
Tokyo Go Go, but the circular lights of various sizes, hung at various levels, reminded us of little bubbles floating around our heads. Nothing too
too, it just adds a certain nuance to the place without being blatant. Any suggestions on how to make this work at home? We think it could be nice on a smaller scale over a kitchen island. Thoughts?
