Marnie Table Light

A friend of ours who likes to have stuff that no-one else has just returned from London with a set of these light-hearted Marni Table Lights, by Brit lighting designer Michelle Mason.

Please don't tell her that we told you about them.

I love it! Not that it would fit with my decor, unfortunately, but I love it. But what about the British wiring? Can you replace their large plugs with our small North American ones and have the lamp work safely?

I haven't done it myself, but my mother-in-law had a few lamps from Europe rewired for her house in Ottawa. I dunno if they just changed the plug or all the wiring (or if you can DIY it), but they work fine now.
