When unlit, the milk cartons appear to be plain, stark white. When lit, the colorful design — cartoonish depictions of bacteria and mold — shows through. While we wouldn't necessarily display this in our home, we'd love to see this concept repeated on a lampshade.
One of my friends in college (-- years ago) used to read a series of comic books about thuggish characters Milk and Cheese, both "dairy products gone bad." Ah, youth.
