Secret of Light Dandelion Inspired Lamp

01_dandelion_011110.jpg

Dandelions evoke strong childhood memories for lots of us. The Secret of Light draws upon the dandelion's nostalgic imagery with this inventive new lamp. Simply shake it to turn it on. You can control the amount of light it gives off by blowing on the bulbs you would like to turn off!

would be an adorable addition to a kids room...if it makes it into production. i could see this nestled on a night table in between 2 twin beds & the kids arguing over who gets to "blow out the light" before bed.

How many cute things are stilllll not available in the U.S.? Besides this, where is the Chick-a-dee smoke detector or the Colombo phone? Get 'em here!

This was one of the first draft concepts of the project that then became Elica lamp, that has been designed and exhibited at the Salone del mobile in Milan in 2005 by the Italian group of designers Progetto25zero1

if you like interactive lamps (but not only) be sure to check also the other products
